Thingy

In this season, we start to observe relation between objects. And I focused on how can i shape two different objects with each other. We called these objects as a thingy. And when i made some research about it, I found something like swiss pocket knife. And they may be a good example for thingy for their usage.

Lets start with this multifunctional thingy. Actually there are lots of possible interaction with items. We can put something inside of it, we can sit on it, we can place something with it and etc. So there are lots of way to use thingy and every different object has potential to behave differently with this thingy. It also may have some additional parts in it and it may has changeable part but this is also a good example for thingy I think.

This thingy is much different than first one. There are some repleacable parts and thanks to these parts there are lots of possible variation. It has 3 simple pieces which connect whole thingy and thingy can change for other object. This situation creates bridge between meaning of thingy and this object.

After that researches, I made some sketches about how can i create my own thingy. To better understanding, I choose one certain vertical object. My thingy has 8 cubic part and these part variate around this vertical object. Actually there are lots of possibilities between these two objects and I draw some of them. Here is my sketches about thingy :

06 assignment Orthographic Projection

Here is another reason for cancer : Drawing tape dispenser using orthographic projection. I hear that you asking whether is that a prank or not. If you are architecure student, you should get used to this kind of unbelieveable assignment and of course there is no way for prank in architecture studio. Whatever, in this drawing, real proportion was used by me and as you know, sometimes something happened without your control. There are some notes in my drawing which reveals my mistakes and after critics i learn how can I draw with ortographic style. In addition, if you want to learn what ortographic projection means, here comes : orthographic projection (n)   projection of a single view of an object (as a view of the front) onto a drawing surface in which the lines of projection are perpendicular to the drawing surface  And here is my model (tape dispenser) and my drawing :
