Reading V: Bronz Age Cities: The Aegean and Asia Minor and Reading VI

In greeks classical works we again encunter Myceneans' trace. And they built a lot of independence citadels and these kind of things. In literature Homer mention about this situation because Myceneans has overseas power in these times. Myceneans have also their own tradition and when they use form they give a name it and they use it in almost every buildings. They have both trade and militay power. And Myceneans reach this power thanks to location of Crete.
Crete is the biggest aegean land and level of culture is really high in there. Myceneans has some difference when we compare with Greeks. Their land is important because of its location as we said. Because it provides trade route between Greece, Egypt and Mesopotamia.

ASIA MINOR

Asia minor is actually our land and Today it called as Anatolia. And Anatolia is house of some communities like Çatalhöyük. And building principles are still valid in todays especially earthquake areas. European people spread whole of the Anatolia in B.C 3000 and neolithic villages built in these times. Hittite is one of them and its capital is Hattusa and its structural quality is quite improved. They have main streets, monumental structures and canals. Also they built roads to connect other communities. Hattusa also gave us a important detail abou Hittite. And their arhitectural basis came from their raw design principles. Their usage of terrain is another significant quality for them. They built their structure in rough terrain. It also provide defence of town and durability of buildings. Also walls are not just for defending attacks it has other form.

Location of Hattusa is quitely significant in valley and its importance grow time after time.Wall of the city is also appropriate for its contour. When we investigate their religion, we can see lion and sphinx statue in gates.

Their planning is so clear: independent and neighbor structures which surrounded around court. Citadel is planned much different. In citadel there are also some buildings but it has not compositional principles. Same idea is appropriate for temples. Four of them has not standard order and they just align in main streets. Fifth temple which is called as  Temple I has some difference. This building surrounded by store house.

Three difference of Hittitians temples:
1- Courts closure is different. For instance hittitians does not know anything about column.
2-Light of sanctuary has difference.
3-Interior design of sanctuary is difference. For instance in Temple I, Sanctuary seems like built lately.

06 assignment Orthographic Projection

Here is another reason for cancer : Drawing tape dispenser using orthographic projection. I hear that you asking whether is that a prank or not. If you are architecure student, you should get used to this kind of unbelieveable assignment and of course there is no way for prank in architecture studio. Whatever, in this drawing, real proportion was used by me and as you know, sometimes something happened without your control. There are some notes in my drawing which reveals my mistakes and after critics i learn how can I draw with ortographic style. In addition, if you want to learn what ortographic projection means, here comes : orthographic projection (n)   projection of a single view of an object (as a view of the front) onto a drawing surface in which the lines of projection are perpendicular to the drawing surface  And here is my model (tape dispenser) and my drawing :
