Prejury

Prejury is good chance to see mistake in project. In prejury, there should be product but it should not be finished. It is kind of queen critic before jury. Let me talk about my project and my mistakes about prejury :

  • I have triangular terrain in batıkent and its sizes are pretty big when it compared with surround terrains. First thing what I try to do is about shaping my house around my terrain. So I started to work on terrain-house relation. Creating something in triangular manner can not be useful. First thing what I learnt it is this. With this obstacle I decided to shape my house around road and plantation conditions.
  • Scale issue became a huge problem for me. My terrain gave a false impression to me and unfortunately there is huge rooms occured because of this reason. Till this day I avoid working with tefriş(furniture). Actually even if I worked with it, maybe I did not encounter with this situation. Scale issue is my real problem in here. Almost all of my jury time general comments about my project continue around it.
  • Other comment about my house is related with my observations. In my observations, there are location of plantations and if I use them to rotate and shape my house it will be much more greatful.
  • And last thing about house is related with interaction with surround. There are very very little house which are adjoint and if my project show that how it benefit from their connection and scale issues, there may be some new kind of things can be revealed.Whatever here is my prejury poster and my pre-house which has scale problem:

Also plan of the world is another quality in there: caves, rivers, lakes and other things can regarded as  architecture. So, we have architecture for so long. OLD STONE AGE ARCHITECTURE Both structures technology and rituel usage of architecture increase rapidly. Neanderthals and cro-magnons start to create some materials in these times. To protect themselves from air conditions, they use fur outside of the structures. Also they negotiate with nature in religion principles. This situation affect hunters directly. Death is a mysterious thing for them and architecture change in the shape of death and religion. Reading V: Bronz Age Cities: The Aegean and Asia Minor and Reading VI

In greeks classical works we again encunter Myceneans' trace. And they built a lot of independence citadels and these kind of things. In literature Homer mention about this situation because Myceneans has overseas power in these times. Myceneans have also their own tradition and when they use form they give a name it and they use it in almost every buildings. They have both trade and militay power. And Myceneans reach this power thanks to location of Crete. Crete is the biggest aegean land and level of culture is really high in there. Myceneans has some difference when we compare with Greeks. Their land is important because of its location as we said. Because it provides trade route between Greece, Egypt and Mesopotamia. ASIA MINOR  Asia minor is actually our land and Today it called as Anatolia. And Anatolia is house of some communities like Çatalhöyük. And building principles are still valid in todays especially earthquake areas. European people spread whole of the Anatolia...
