Arch 111 Final Assignment : İller Bankası Drawing

Today I'm here with my final drawing which contains iller bankası with both axonometric and orthographic drawing. This was finished the end of the first semester by me and its one of the most competitive drawing i have ever did.  Lets sum up details of iller bankası building. It was designed by Seyfi Arkan who is modernist architect. And also we know that iller bankası is one of the best modernist expression in early republican period in Turkey. And here is my 1/200 scaled drawing :

The Poster that never comes (03 assignment)

I just quote that one of the most popular Metallica song’s name for title. As you wish, you can listen in this link  : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mlahvvymkxc And here is my new work on Photoshop. Before i made this poster ,  I read LE CORBUSIER’ “Pure creation of the mind” part and also I watched BERNSTEIN, L. ” What does music mean?” , young people’s concerts. Then i try to blend these two material in my mind and reveal some important words. And finally made this poster in Photoshop cs3. I still have some hesitation about my headline colour which is related to harmony but I didn’t find any good alternative because of background colours. Whatever, here is my posterz

Architectural tour in Ankara (04 assignment)

It was a rainy day… Again noone has no idea what we are doing… This is a kind of principles of being architechture student. Sounds echoing like “its up to you!” in studio. Then we recognized that nothing can be same after this trip… Here comes new assignment. Last friday we take an architectural tour in Ankara and we have to focus light and shadow qualities in Buildings. In poster (which is on the left) you can see old buildings. They may seem like normal structure but when we think that 1920-30s, they are really important and well designed buildings for Ankara.  Also there are more photos when i took this trip. I didn't add these pictures to my poster thats why i couldnt find exact texture in these photos.
