AXONOMETRIC DRAWING

Im here with my new assignment. As you know drawing is inevitable element for architecture. Axonometric drawing is one of this inevitable element. So, what is this axonometric drawing ?

Axonometric (adj) designating a method of projection (axonometric projection) in which a three-dimensional object is represented by a drawing (axonometric drawing) having all axes drawn to exact scale, resulting in the optical distortion of diagonals and curves.

After we learnt this, our lecturers want to draw our planar models with using this method. And we should decide for which degree we plan to use. 45-45 and 30-60 are most special degree for us and every person has different model in studio. So models 3D measure is most important fact for selection. My model' x-y-z axis have same length and I decided to chose 45 degree. Here is my model and axonometric drawing :

STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS: KHAN SHATYR

Each structure has its own story. And this is Khan Shatyr's one. For Arch372 lesson we choose a structure and examine its structural details. We find Khan Shatyr as interesting and made research about it. Tension of roof, its durability, materials, technique of construction is quite different from other ones. And here some explanative poster about structure with diagrams.

Sketch Problem

After first pre-jury, new sketch problem assignment take to each group. In there, question is simple: What will be happen to Çukurambar next years/decades. Sketches can be include utopic ideas or it may stand on realistic things. Me and my group can not defend any certain idea. There are both of these things and it is kind of debate about what will happen if there is realistic things happen or what happen with utopic ideas. Here what we reach:

Architectural tour in Ankara (04 assignment)

It was a rainy day… Again noone has no idea what we are doing… This is a kind of principles of being architechture student. Sounds echoing like “its up to you!” in studio. Then we recognized that nothing can be same after this trip… Here comes new assignment. Last friday we take an architectural tour in Ankara and we have to focus light and shadow qualities in Buildings. In poster (which is on the left) you can see old buildings. They may seem like normal structure but when we think that 1920-30s, they are really important and well designed buildings for Ankara.  Also there are more photos when i took this trip. I didn't add these pictures to my poster thats why i couldnt find exact texture in these photos.
